I always buy a travel guide from a major publisher (Rough Guides, Moon, Bradt, etc.) where ever I go, in order to have considerable information about my destination. I also find having a simple guide is extremely helpful in a “less-is-more” fashion, as it is easier to determine what the attractions are and how to access them. This is the case with Travel Mumbai by Shalu Sharma, a travel guide author and blogger. This book is only 60 pages with big font and all the information is available online. However after reading the book for an hour in the Mumbai Oberoi Hotel, I was able to plan my trip during my three days in this city full of historical monuments and dynamic neighborhoods.
