The only way to travel in the Solomon Islands, except for the capital Honiara and a few towns, is by boat. There’s no better way than in the SV Chemistry catamaran. It’s owned and operated by Gavin, originally from the U.K., and now an Australian citizen. It’s a 60-foot boat with four cabins. Gavin pilots the boat, Luciana cooks excellent meals from local fish and produce, and Luna is the watchdog. Gavin devises an itinerary based on what you’d like to do (dive, fish, see WWII relics, etc.).
